Black Feminism, a Brief Introduction

In response to my previous post about Movie Review: Precious which tells us about Black Feminism, hereby in this post I would like to share a power point presentation about Black Feminism. This is given at American Women class in November 24, 2010. Hopefully, it can be a clear introduction to Black Feminism.

Black Feminism

So, treat women of color with more respect !! For so long they are oppressed because of their race, social class and sex. Let us spread this awareness, starting from ourselves. No more women oppression. It is our chance as the next generation to better our future lives.

Movie Review | Stream of Tears in Wedding Dress

Last Saturday, I got a runny nose -kind of severe, as I recalled- not because of sick, but because I watched a Korean movie entitled WeddingDress . Wedding Dress Movie Poster (link contains spoiler) I have frequently watched Korean movies. In my opinion, they are much better than Indonesian movies. Not that I dislike my country (I just dislike Indonesia’s movies), but yeah, Korean movies have a wide range of preference. You can watch cheesy-funny-romantic movie that make you feel happy and smile all the time. Or try to watch a horror-romanticmovie  that makes you laugh and scared. You can also find cool action movie ! Some movies even make me cry a lot . I really mean it when I say some Korean movies really make me cry so badly. Wedding Dress is one that makes me cry. Kung Fu Panda 2 | Movie Review

Po is back! The Dragon Warrior is on the screen once again with its second sequel. Released on August 16 in Indonesia (ya memang telat sekali Indonesia!!!!! gara gara kasus yang dulu itu), Kung Fu Panda 2 is still played in various Indonesia's cinema theaters. Kungfu Panda 2 Movie Poster The Furious Five and Po are asked to restore order in the Gongmen city as it is ruled by a tyrant peacock named Zen which plans to rule over China. Zen invents the use of fireworks as a deadly weapon. He plans to seize China with his newly invented weapon. However, the story becomes more interesting as it turns out that Zen plays a very important role in Po's past life. He is the key to understand who Po really is. Torn between his curiosity to deeply know his past life and his duty to restore order by defeating Zen, Po becomes a more complex character but still a funny character.
