About Me

Nothing is extraordinary about me. You will be bored reading this, trust me you have been warned.

I was born and raised in Solo, a lovely town in Central Java, Indonesia, which is also the hometown of the seventh president of the nation.

Besides reading, I also love music and movie. I sing a lot (although only exclusive in my bedroom and bathroom).
I graduated in 2011 from the American Studies program at the English Department, Sebelas Maret University (UNS), holding a Bachelor of Arts degree. I wrote an undergraduate thesis entitled Redefining Superhero: the Construction of Postmodern Hero in Watchmen, a work which incorporates theories on popular culture, postmodernism and film semiotics.

Upon graduation, I moved to Jakarta where I worked as a journalist at the Jakarta Post in 2012 for a year. It was a very great experience for me as the job had helped me open my eyes to various issues in this country.

Currently, I am working for American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF), the Fulbright commission in Indonesia, as its Associate Program Officer. I help American scholars come to Indonesia! It feels great to be a bridge that can connect two cultures!
